My main interest in Boquete was seeing the Resplendent Quetzal, which basically makes it's home in the mountains of the Chiriqui province. Although the Quetzal proved elusive, I had a wonderful day of birding with excellent local guide Jason Lara. We saw a bunch of Chiriqui endemics, and my lifer count for the day was well over 20! The region is so lovely that I am tempted to go back for more birding some day, and I am sure the Quetzal will also call me back so I can enjoy it's beauty!
