Australia was one of the most fun places to bird. Most of these images are from the Port Douglas area where we went birding with a professional guide. Some like the Kookaburra and the Rosella are from Sydney.

We were there from November 3-18, 2012. The birding trip where most of these images were taken was on Nov 16, 2012.

For birding in Australia I would definitely recommend a guide as a lot of the species are different and hard to identify. There are many endemics in Australia.
