We started with a half day trip to Hell's Gate National Park, which is a spectacular place; it's towering cliffs are dotted with vulture nests and streaked with their poop. We walked through a beautiful gorge where the second Tomb Raider movie was shot.

We then went to Lake Naivasha. This was a fun place for a boat ride, getting us close to a variety of shore birds, waders, kingfishers, and the African Fish Eagle. The highlight of this trip was watching the largest kingfisher in the world (the Giant Kingfisher) try to swallow an oversize fish from 15 feet away! Also, watching Fish Eagles hunt similar to our Baldies and Ospreys.
